Yes.  I am here to bridge traditional medicine and functional medicine.  It is required you retain a PCP to initiate or continue to order important routine screening tests such as mammograms, pap smears, colonoscopies, bone density tests etc.  The care provided by your Functional Medicine Provider will complement the care given to you by your PCP.  Each new patient will have needed to see their PCP within the last 6 months and had basic labs completed.  

No. Unfortunately insurance companies don't cover the customized services provided in Functional Medicine.  At this time Insurance companies are not as interested in disease prevention and overall wellness as they are with the Traditional Medicine approach.  I'm happy to be able to offer significantly discounted cash pay rates that I pre-negotiated with LABCORP and other Functional Medicine Labs.  Other special functional medicine testing is not covered by your insurance.
